Steve Whitelam is a Staff Scientist at Berkeley Lab since October 2008, specializing in the application of statistical mechanics and machine learning to nanoscale dynamics and self-assembly. Previously, Steve served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Warwick in 2007-2008 and at the University of California, Berkeley from 2004 to 2007. Steve holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Theoretical Physics from the University of Oxford, earned between 2001 and 2004, and a Master's degree in Physics from the same institution, completed in 2001.
