Swapnil Patel

Postdoctoral Physicist

Swapnil Patel is a physicist currently serving as a Postdoctoral Physicist at Berkeley Lab, where responsibilities include research and development of next-generation ion-trap technologies for distributed quantum networks as part of the QUANT-NET team. Previously, Swapnil was a Doctoral Candidate and Teaching Assistant at Duke University, contributing to graduate-level physics education while working under the mentorship of Dr. Kenneth Brown. Earlier experience includes a Research Assistant position at the University of Chicago, supporting the Short-Baseline Neutrino Program at Fermilab under Dr. David Schmitz. Swapnil holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from Duke University, a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Fergusson College.
