Syed Saqline, Ph.D., currently serves as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Berkeley Lab, focusing on hydrogen storage and direct air capture within the Energy Technologies Area division. Previously, Syed was a Residential Mentor at NTU Hall of Residence 9, where event organization and student welfare were priorities. As a PhD Candidate at Nanyang Technological University, significant research was conducted on energy conversion and decarbonisation, along with process simulation modeling. Teaching Assistant roles included laboratory courses on Vapor Liquid Equilibrium and Distillation. Additional research experience includes being a Visiting Researcher at Cambridge CARES, synthesizing materials for CO2 capture, and working as a Graduate Student Researcher at the NEWRI Ecosystem, developing low-cost materials for chemical looping combustion. Early academic endeavors involved sessions at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Syed holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Ramaiah Institute of Technology.
