Vy Duong, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Berkeley Lab since December 2021, focusing on the investigation of unknown genes through techniques such as bioinformatics and machine learning. Previously, Vy was a Ph.D. candidate in Physical Chemistry at the University of California, Irvine, from 2015 to 2020, where Vy was awarded the 2020 Edward K. C. Additionally, Vy served as an Insight Data Science Fellow in Silicon Valley in 2019. Early career experiences include a research internship at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where Vy worked on bioprinting hydrogels, and a role as a tutor for chemistry at the Student Learning Center at UC Berkeley. Vy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2013.
