Won Young Park

Won Young Park is an Energy Environmental Policy Researcher IV at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where involvement in the Super-efficient Equipment and Appliance Deployment (SEAD) initiative and the Global Lighting and Energy Access Partnership (Global LEAP) has been prominent since October 2010. Previous experience includes a role as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Renewable and Appropriate Energy Laboratory, focusing on carbon footprint calculators for California Green Business programs, and an internship at The Institute for Global Environmental Strategies, where pro-active policies for corporate environmental management in Asia were reviewed. Earlier experience as a Research Engineer at Samsung SDI Co., Ltd involved developing long-term strategies for plasma display panel technology and standardizing manufacturing processes. Won Young Park holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Yonsei University.
