Xiao Qi

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Xiao Qi is a highly skilled researcher with extensive experience in nanomaterials synthesis and characterization. From September 2015 to July 2021, Xiao Qi served as a Research Assistant and later as a Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Davis, where responsibilities included synthesizing various nanomaterials and utilizing advanced characterization techniques such as PXRD, FTIR, SEM, TEM, EDS, and ICP-MS. Currently, as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Berkeley Lab, Xiao Qi coordinates global teams focused on material development and photonic IR-to-Vis upconversion processes. Additionally, Xiao Qi has been actively involved in user projects at the Molecular Foundry since October 2017, leading numerous proposals addressing challenges in nanotechnology across multiple scientific domains. Xiao Qi holds a Master of Science in Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis.
