Yi-Chun Chen has extensive experience in plant biology and research, beginning with an internship at the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) from February 2010 to September 2013, focused on the anti-inflammatory activity of metabolites. Following this, Yi-Chun served as a Research Assistant at ITRI International in late 2017, evaluating genomic analysis technologies. From June 2018 to present, Yi-Chun has been a Research Associate at Berkeley Lab, specializing in enzyme characterization and cell wall analysis, along with genetic transformation techniques. Additional roles include a Teaching Assistant at Purdue University from 2016 to 2017 and a Research Assistant studying ethylene biosynthesis. Yi-Chun holds a Master of Science in Botany/Plant Biology from Purdue University and a certificate in Data Science from UC Berkeley Extension, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and Resource Conservation from National Taiwan University.
