Robert Stone

Robert Stone has extensive experience in the insurance and private equity sectors, currently serving as Executive Vice President for the Excess & Surplus Lines Segment at W. R. Berkley Corporation since June 2002. In addition, Robert holds the title of Senior Vice President for Alternative Markets and is the Founder and Managing Director of Berkley Capital. Prior to W. R. Berkley, Robert was a Managing Director at Securitas Capital from 1996 to 2002 and spent nearly a decade as Director in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Smith Barney from 1987 to 1996. Robert Stone holds an AB degree in Economics from Harvard University, obtained in 1987.
