Nico Wegmann has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Nico started their career at MAHA Maschinenbau Haldenwang GmbH & Co. KG as an intern in the Sales Department. Later, they interned at Siemens in their CIO Corporate Center and Corporate Information Office, Asia-Australia. In 2006, they joined Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA as a (Junior) Consultant and progressively moved up the ranks, holding positions such as Deputy Head Of Department, Vice President, Senior Vice President, and currently, Executive Vice President - Corporate Financial Reporting and Accounting.

Nico Wegmann completed their education at the University of Augsburg, where they obtained a Diplom Kaufmann degree in Finance, Accounting, and Controlling from 2001 to 2006. Nico later pursued various executive education programs, including Managing Strategy for Action at Harvard Business School in 2018, Mastering New Challenges at Harvard Business School in 2017, and Preparing for Opportunities at INSEAD in 2012. Additionally, they completed the Leading Transformation and Disruption program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Nico Wegmann also holds a certification in AI for Business Leaders Executive Program from Udacity, acquired in 2020.
