Senior Vice President Corporate Controlling & Strategy at Bertelsmann

Stefan Gläser has extensive work experience in finance and strategy. Stefan began their career at Bertelsmann AG as a Manager of Corporate Finance, where they helped realign group financing and set up investor relations. Stefan later took on the role of Senior Director of Corporate Controlling & Strategy, supporting the executive board in analyzing the company's financial performance and developing portfolio strategies.

Gläser then moved to Bertelsmann, arvato UK, where they served as the CFO for the UK & Ireland division. In this role, they oversaw the company's overall business portfolio, including financial management and human resources. Stefan was also involved in M&A activities and bid teams for business development.

After their time at arvato UK, Gläser served as the CFO of arvato Philippines, leading the finance team and providing financial management and corporate governance support for the business process outsourcing services.

Stefan'smost recent role was at Bertelsmann, arvato IT Services as the Commercial Director of arvato IT Solutions. Stefan'smain responsibility was to turn around an underperforming major client account through renegotiation of commercial terms and conditions and optimization of operational processes.

In 2016, Gläser joined Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Controlling & Strategy. In this position, they provided financial and strategic analysis to the executive board, supporting group management and strategic initiatives such as digital transformation and growth acceleration.

Stefan Gläser attended the Harvard Business School in 2012 for an Executive Education Programme called "Mastering New Challenges." In 2004, they also participated in an Executive Education Programme called "Preparing for Opportunities" at INSEAD. Stefan completed their academic diploma, a Diplom-Kaufmann, with a major in Finance & International Management from the University of Münster from 1995 to 2000.
