Bob Bertog has a diverse work experience, starting as a Position Trader/Market Maker at the Chicago Board Options Exchange in 1984. Bob then worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Oakton College, where they developed and taught a comprehensive options trading curriculum. In 1992, Bob became the President of Bertog Landscape Company, overseeing day-to-day operations, promoting client satisfaction, and spearheading business development. In 2005, they became the Finance Committee Chairman of the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association, successfully managing the association's investment portfolio. In 2006, Bob became a Principal Partner at Chicago Snow & Landscape Partners, where they established and developed four contracting firms. Bob also served as the President of the Illiinois Landscape Contractors Association in 2010, leading the board through challenging economic times. Overall, Bob has demonstrated leadership, business development, and financial management skills throughout their career.
Bob Bertog attended Glenbrook South from 1976 to 1980. Bob then went on to study at Miami University from 1980 to 1984, where they obtained a BS in Finance. In addition to their degrees, they also hold certifications as a Certified Snow Professional from the Snow and Ice Management Association obtained in 2002, and as a Certified Landscape Professional from the National Association of Landscape Professionals obtained in 1998.
