Eric Gilbert

Eric Gilbert is an experienced maritime professional currently serving as Barge Master and Superintendent at BESIX since October 2022. Previously, Eric held positions at Boskalis, including Barge Master for the Pontra Maris project, focusing on land reclamation for a new airport in Bulacan, Manila. Eric's extensive background includes roles as Barge Pilot at Boskalis Offshore Contracting B.V., overseeing significant offshore projects such as the London Array wind farm and the Matarbari power plant breakwater construction. Eric also worked with DEME Group as Master, contributing to the construction of container terminals and offshore installations. With additional experience in managing marine operations at companies like amandi ltd and Jack-Up Barge BV, Eric has developed a strong skill set in project planning, operations management, and crew training. Eric holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications from the Provinciaal Hoger Instituut voor Toegepaste Communicatie, earned between 1984 and 1986.
