Ward Homan began their career with a decade-long academic track as an astrophysicist, earning a Master's degree from Royal Holloway, University of London, and later a PhD from KU Leuven. They served as a Physics Teacher at OLV instituut Sint-Genesius-Rode and held postdoctoral research positions at Université libre de Bruxelles, focusing on data analysis and simulation in astrophysics. In their recent role as a Data Science Specialist at Atlas Copco, Ward led multiple data science projects, promoting data literacy and governance within the organization. Currently, they serve as a Data Architect at BESIX.
