The BestComedyTickets.com site is designed to give a listing of all the comedians and their performances at clubs around the world. Visitors can view current schedules and then buy tickets in advance; avoiding the lines and possibility of sold-out performances.

History
Best Comedy Tickets was the brainchild of Joseph Santiago. Mr. Santiago was laid off from his job in the Empire State Building following the economic depression caused by the terrorist attacks of September 11. To make ends meet, he paired up with a friend who was selling comedy tickets on the streets of New York City. What started as a temporary job turned into a passion for helping people recover from the stress of that time with the best medicine available: laughter. After a few years managing a team of ticket salesman, Mr. Santiago decided to take his passion to the world via the internet; making it easier to order tickets and view upcoming show listings online. 

Sites like Fandango offered the ability to view movie theatre listings and purchase tickets online starting in 2000. With the internet boom, there were many smaller markets (like comedy clubs) that were widely left offline, save for a few comedy clubs that allowed online purchase of tickets. As consumers became more and more accustomed to shopping and viewing information online, the demand for the ability to book fun evenings and weekend activities online led to sites like GroupOn to start-up in 2008. Best Comedy Tickets has remained focus on serving the Comedy Club niche.
