Tunç TEZEL has extensive work experience in the power transformer industry. Tunç is currently the General Manager and CEO at BEST Transformer since December 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Regional Commercial Executive Leader at GE Renewable Energy from November 2017 to December 2019. Before joining GE Renewable Energy, they served as a Commercial Leader for the Power Transformers Product Line at GE from July 2015 to October 2017. Prior to that, they held the position of Southern Europe & Central Asia Regional Commercial VP at ALSTOM GRID from April 2011 to June 2015. Before joining ALSTOM GRID, they worked at AREVA T&D as the Country Sales Director from January 2005 to April 2011 and as the Western Asia Area Sales Director from January 2005 to April 2010. Tunç also served as the Sales Director at AREVA T&D from an unknown start date to 2009. Before joining AREVA T&D, they worked as an MVB Commercial Coordinator at ALSTOM T&D from January 2002 to January 2005. Tunç started their career at AEG Power Solutions, where they held multiple roles including Medium Voltage Switchgear Unit Export Tendering from January 1996 to January 2002, and as the TUBITAK Istanbul Rehabilitation Project Site Manager from December 1993 to January 1996.
Tunç TEZEL attended Ankara Ataturk Anadolu Lisesi from 1981 to 1988. Afterward, they studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Istanbul Technical University from 1988 to 1992.
