Established in 1978 to serve the local German saw and knife industry with raw material, today, more than 35 years later, BESTAR has evolved into a world class ISO 9001 certified steel supplier. BESTAR maintains two warehouses in Germany and operates four warehouses in North America. In addition, customers in Asia have a local contact with BESTAR staff in Hong Kong. BESTAR serves customers in more than 45 countries of the world.

As the world leader of steel supplied to the cutting tool, especially the saw and knife industry, BESTAR’s customers likewise are key players in their respective markets. This includes primary and secondary wood processing, hot saw/friction saw and other metal cutting applications, quarry saws, wood knives (ie. chipper, flaker, OSB), pulp and paper knives, food knives, agricultural knives, etc.
