Patrick Castagna

Patrick Castagna is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as a Sr. Staff Product Development Engineer at Beta Bionics since October 2023. Previous roles include Sr. Staff Mechanical R&D Engineer at Rockley Photonics Inc. and various positions, including Senior Staff Mechanical Engineer, Staff Mechanical Engineer, and Senior Mechanical Engineer at Dexcom from June 2016 to April 2022. Patrick's background encompasses mechanical engineering with a focus on biotechnology and opto-mechanical design for analytical instruments, as well as the development of manufacturing processes for microfluidic devices. Earlier experience includes mechanical engineering at Simplexity Product Development and ownership of Castagna Power Skating, providing coaching to youth hockey players. Patrick also interned at Northrop Grumman as a Senior Electromechanical Intern.
