Austin Cate

Austin Cate possesses extensive experience in the energy sector, with a focus on engineering and technology solutions. Currently serving as a Team Member at Beta Technologies since July 2021, previous roles include Technical Director for Battery Energy Storage Solutions at WEG from February 2019 to July 2021 and Director of Technology Solutions (Engineering) at Northern Power Systems from June 2004 to February 2019. In the latter position, leadership was provided to an engineering team focused on distributed wind products and energy storage systems, alongside efforts in product certification. Earlier roles at Northern Power Systems included Manager of Power Systems Engineering and Electrical Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed guiding development teams and executing electrical designs for power converters. Austin Cate holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, earned in 2004.
