Herman Wiegman

Herman Wiegman is the current Chief Technical Officer at Beta Technologies. Herman has been in this role since September of 2011.

Previously, Herman worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at GE-Energy Storage from January 2010 to September 2011. In this role, they were responsible for energy storage system design and implementation for mobile and stationary applications.

From December 1999 to May 2017, Herman worked as a Principal Engineer at GE Global Research. In this role, they were a champion for electrified systems and energy storage technology across GE. Their focus was on innovation and customer impact.

Herman began their career as a Research & Teaching Assistant in the Electrical Engineering department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from January 1994 to December 1999. During this time, they helped with hybrid vehicle competitions, power electronics, and electric machines.

Herman Wiegman received their BS in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and went on to get their Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Their manager is Kyle Clark, Founder & Chairman. Herman Wiegman works with Will Roper - Board Member, Blain Newton - Chief Finance and Operations Officer.
