Malia Hodges

Malia Hodges is a Mechanical Design Engineer at BETA TECHNOLOGIES, starting in May 2022, and previously served as an intern on the Motor Team. Malia also held the position of Assistant Project Manager at the UVM College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences from September 2021 to May 2022, where collaboration with a team focused on developing a program to support Black, Indigenous, and People of Color in STEM, alongside enhancing promotional and organizational strategies. Work experience includes roles as Assistant Operations Manager at Sunrise Orchards, leading field crews and operating agricultural machinery, and Assistant Marketing Manager at Cutting Hill Beef, where sales and marketing strategies were developed. Malia further gained experience as Assistant Operations Manager at Vermont Refrigerated Storage, overseeing operation parameters for ammonia and freon plants. Education is being pursued at the University of Vermont, with an expected completion date in May 2024.
