Mark Chaffee

Mark Chaffee has over 39 years of experience in software and firmware engineering, currently serving as a Team Member at BETA TECHNOLOGIES since October 2022. Previously, as Principal Embedded Systems Engineer at allocortech inc., from September 2021 to October 2022, Mark focused on advanced embedded systems. Prior roles include Principal Firmware Engineer at NRG Systems, where significant contributions were made to the Wind Turbine Bat Deterrent System, utilizing Renesas micro-controllers and Express Logic RTOS. Mark's earlier career includes impactful positions at Goodrich Corp. as Principal Software Engineer, overseeing the Integrated Vehicle Health Management product line, and roles at ECC International and Lockheed Space Operations, where foundational work in simulations and launch sequencing was conducted. Mark holds a BS in Aviation Computer Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
