Mike Shaw

Mike Shaw possesses extensive experience in electrical engineering, particularly in power electronics design and systems engineering. Currently, Mike is a team member at Beta Technologies, where work commenced in May 2021. Prior to this role, Mike served as a Senior Power Electronics Design Engineer at Rolls-Royce from November 2019 to May 2021, and as a Senior Staff Power Electronics Engineer at Hypertherm from September 2017 to 2019. Mike also held positions at Fluidic Energy, United Technologies, and Goodrich, focusing on high integrity remote actuator control electronics for fly-by-wire systems and aircraft electric brake controllers, among other responsibilities. Mike's career began at Belcan Corporation, where contributions included hardware and systems design for antiskid brake by-wire systems and critical program development. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2003.
