Sam Hooker

Sam Hooker has a diverse work experience, starting as a Technical Support Representative at Together Networks in 1997. From there, they worked as a System Administrator at Earthlink Inc. in 2000 and as a Technology Coordinator at Bellows Free Academy, St. Albans from 2001 to 2002. Sam then joined ClearBearing, Inc. as a Consulting Engineer, Partner from 1999 to 2008. After that, they worked at the University of Vermont, starting as a Senior Systems Administrator from 2008 to 2012, then as an Information Security Engineer from 2012 to 2021, and finally as the Director of Information Security (Information Security Officer) from 2021 to 2023. Currently, they are the Cyber Security Analyst Lead at BETA TECHNOLOGIES.

Sam Hooker has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Music Theory and Composition from the University of Vermont. They also hold a certification in GPEN from GIAC, obtained in July 2010.
