Sam Reich

Sam Reich is currently the President of Newcastle Cycleways Movement Inc., where they advocate for safe cycling strategies and improved urban design. With over 40 years of experience as a geologist and mining consultant, Sam has held various senior roles across the mining industry in Australia and the United States. They have also served in significant advocacy roles, including as a secretary for the Australian Cyclists Party and regional representative for Rail Trails Australia. Sam's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Geology from the University of Colorado Boulder and an Associate Diploma in Mining and Mineral Technology from Curtin University. Their passion for cycling and community health drives their ongoing commitment to creating better public amenity and environment.
