Sergei Zhuk

Sergei Zhuk has extensive experience in quality assurance and management roles. Sergei is currently a Senior QA Manager at BetterDoc, starting in October 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Shopify, where they held various positions including QA Manager and Senior Quality Assurance Engineer from June 2018 to August 2022. At Shopify, they were responsible for managing test teams, defining testing concepts and strategies, and overseeing release planning and risk management. Before Shopify, they worked at Netcracker Technology as a QA Manager from June 2014 to June 2018, and as a Senior QA Engineer from November 2013 to June 2014. Sergei also worked at Motorola Mobility (a Lenovo Company) as a Senior QA Engineer from February 2012 to November 2013, at Alcatel-Lucent as a QA Engineer from October 2007 to January 2012, and at Motorola as a Test Engineer from November 2006 to October 2007.

Sergei Zhuk began their education at the Lyceum of G.F. Atyakshov in 1992 and completed it in 2002. However, no specific degree or field of study was mentioned. From 2002 until 2008, Sergei attended Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI" where they specialized in programming. Sergei pursued their studies within the Faculty of Computer Technologies and Information Science.

In addition to their formal education, Sergei has obtained several certifications throughout the years. In 2016, they became a Certified Tester Foundation Level through the ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board. In the same year, they also obtained the certification for Selenium 2.0 from Software-Testing.Ru. In 2017, Sergei further enhanced their skills by becoming a Certified Tester Advanced Level - Test Manager, this time through the ISTQB. Sergei also acquired a certification in Performance testing JMeter from Software-Testing.Ru. In 2021, Sergei became a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) through the Scrum Alliance. Most recently, in 2022, they obtained a Full-Stack Engineer certification from Codecademy.
