Abdul-Rasheed Muhammad

Abdul-Rasheed Muhammad, MS, DSW, LMSW, BCC, currently serves as a Mental Health Therapist and Spiritual Care Provider at BetterHelp since January 2022 and holds the position of President/CEO at Universal Counseling & Training Services since June 2014. In addition, Abdul-Rasheed is the Director of the Chaplaincy Program and Islamic Endorsing Agent at the Islamic Society of North America since 2013, overseeing administrative and personnel management of chaplains across various institutions. Previous roles include Mental Health Chaplain at the VA San Diego Healthcare System, Clinical Staff Chaplain with the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, and Chaplain in the U.S. Army Chaplaincy. With a strong foundation in social work, Abdul-Rasheed began as a Social Worker/Substance Abuse Counselor at St. Joseph's Hospital in the late 1980s, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Social Work at Capella University.
