Selim Jang

Selim Jang is a Data Scientist at BetterHelp.com since February 2022, with prior experience as a Content Creator at YouTube from 2020 to 2023, where Selim ran a knowledge-sharing channel called Selim’s Chalk, producing over 50 videos focused on grad school and career development, and gaining more than 12K subscribers. Selim served as a Lead Researcher and Doctoral Student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from August 2015 to October 2021, conducting hypothesis-driven research on learning strategies, while also working as a Lab Course Instructor. Earlier experience includes co-leading educational game development and conducting experimental psychology research at Chung-Ang University, where Selim earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, an MA in Cognitive Psychology, and a PhD in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
