Chris Ranney

Chris Ranney has over 35 years of professional experience in the fields of executive coaching, financial planning, business management, counseling, and school psychology. In 2020, they began working as an Executive Coach for BetterManager, a company dedicated to increasing employee and manager engagement, productivity, and retention. From 2014-2020, Ranney owned and operated their own coaching and consulting business. From 1986-2008, they founded, managed, and eventually sold an independent financial planning business. From 1993-2008, they served as President, CEO, and Executive Vice President of Brecek & Young Advisors, Inc. From 1983-1993, they provided counseling services to adolescents, families, and couples as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Counseling Associate. Additionally, they worked as a School Psychologist and Program Director for At-Risk Youth Program in various K-12 school districts.

Chris Ranney started their educational journey in 1972 when they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from California State University, Chico. Chris then continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Master's Degree in Psychology in 1983. In 1986, they obtained a license as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) #23139 from the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners. In 2014, they completed the Professional Coaching program from The Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and was awarded the CPCC. In 2022, they obtained the BetterManager Executive Coach certification from BetterManager and the Certified in DISC Asssessment & Driving Forces certification from TTI Success Insights.
