Florian Harr

Florian Harr is a highly experienced software engineer with a strong focus on mobile and backend development. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Betterment since July 2021, Florian established a Public Speaking program and has successfully led significant initiatives, including the migration to Flutter and the introduction of GraphQL for mobile clients. Previously, as a Lead Software Engineer at The Wall Street Journal, Florian pioneered GraphQL API adoption and directed the implementation of major features. Experience includes roles at Kabbage, Inc. as a Mobile Technical Lead and iOS Developer, as well as multiple positions in consultancy and education. Florian holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science from Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University and has actively contributed to the growth of teams and mentoring of developers throughout the career.
