Jay Carlson

Jay Carlson is the VP of Design at Betterment. Prior to joining Betterment, Jay was a part-time faculty member at The New School, where they taught Interaction Design in the Core Studio program. Jay has also worked as a design director at Etsy, where they were responsible for product design, primarily working with Etsy's Payments team.

Jay Carlson graduated from ArtCenter College of Design with a BFA in Graphic Design.

Jay Carlson reports to Mike Reust, President. They work with Lucy Babbage - SVP, People, Thomas Sutton II - VP, Parents of Betterment ERG, and Grace Jenkins - Customer Operations Lead.
