John Bentley

John Bentley is an experienced financial and quantitative analyst with a diverse background in investment management, data science, and research. Currently serving as the Director of Investing at Betterment since March 2019, John has held various roles including Senior Quant, Lead Quantitative Researcher, and Quantitative Researcher. Prior to this, John worked as a Teaching Assistant at the NYC Data Science Academy, where data mining and predictive modeling were key tasks. At Brownson, Rehmus & Foxworth, John provided custom financial analyses for ultra high net worth families, enhancing investment strategies. Previous positions include a Freshman Counselor at Yale University, a Flight Analyst Intern at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, a Political Science Research Assistant at Yale, and an IT Intern at Springfield Underground. John holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Philosophy from Yale University.
