Liam Croteau

Liam Croteau is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at BetterUp since June 2022, having previously held the position of Machine Learning Engineer. Prior experience includes roles as an NLP Data Scientist at Motive Software, where collaboration with Stanford NLP Group advisor Chris Potts led to the development of a novel dataset focused on fine-grained negative emotions in text. As a Co-Founder of Citrus Life Science, Liam worked on improving Lyme disease diagnostics. Additional experience includes a Junior Data Scientist position at Praemo, where anomaly detection models were programmed, and research roles focused on water treatment and extraction processes in various institutes and labs. Liam's academic background consists of a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nanotechnology Engineering from the University of Waterloo, earned between 2017 and 2022.
