Rainy Gu

Rainy Gu, Ph.D. is a Research Scientist at BetterUp since May 2021, with previous roles as Associate People Scientist and Assessment Intern. Prior to this position, Rainy served as a Graduate Researcher at the University of California, San Diego - Rady School of Management from January 2013 to January 2022, where Rainy designed and executed over five mixed-method studies, managed multiple research projects, and led a team of 15-20 members. Rainy also contributed to enhancing MBA students' learning as a Teaching Assistant, focusing on organizational leadership and strategy. Rainy holds a PhD in Business Administration and Management from UC San Diego, completed in 2021, and a BS in Cognitive Psychology and Psycholinguistics from the same institution, earned in 2015.
