Scott Baker

Scott Baker, Ph.D., is a Principal Behavioral Scientist at BetterUp since March 2019, where previous roles included Senior Behavioral Scientist. Prior to BetterUp, Scott served as a PhD Candidate and Instructor at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business from August 2014 to March 2019, focusing on leadership and team research and teaching a Leadership Strategies course. Experience includes consulting at The Trispective Group from 2009 to 2014, where assessments for teams and organizational culture were developed, and a Director role at CEB (now Gartner) from 2006 to 2009, managing client engagements to enhance sales performance. Earlier positions include Director at Level 3 Communications, overseeing various HR functions, and serving as a Sergeant in the United States Army from 1986 to 1990. Scott holds a PhD in Management from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and advanced degrees in Organization Communication/Development and Speech Communication.
