Beyond Borders Scotland is a Scottish NGO dedicated to building peace, facilitating dialogue, and supporting exchange between nations. Drawing on Scotland's heritage and experience as a small nation, BBS has supported projects around rule of law and international humanitarian law, arts for peacebuilding and trauma-response, women's role in conflict resolution, and Scotland's increasing global role. 

Currently, BBS runs the Scottish Peace Programme in partnership with the University of Edinburgh Law School. This comprises the new Scottish Peace Platform and the continuation of the Women in Conflict 1325 Fellowship Programme for women peacebuilders from conflict-affected countries. 

Every year in August, BBS brings together the Beyond Borders International Festival in the grounds of Traquair House, a gathering around arts, politics, literature, and ideas. BBS also organises the Scottish Global Dialogues event series.
