Founded in 2020 by Dr. Bayo Curry-Winchell, known as Dr. Bayo, a board-certified family medicine physician and nationally recognized health advocate, Beyond Clinical Walls is a media company dedicated to advancing health literacy and empowering people to take control of their healthcare journey.

What began as a social media effort has grown into a multi-faceted platform reaching audiences across podcasting, brand partnerships, speaking engagements, and media appearances.

Too many patients, largely women and other underserved communities, walk out of appointments feeling dismissed and unheard. That experience is real, and it's exactly why Beyond Clinical Walls exists. Our largest initiative, CliniciansWhoCare.com, was born from a viral moment when thousands shared stories of being dismissed, but also named the one clinician who finally believed them. Today it's a free, patient-driven directory of over 3,500 providers across all 50 states and 5 countries, featured in People Magazine, Forbes, the Tamron Hall Show, and Katie Couric Media.

The Beyond Clinical Walls podcast brings together experts from all angles of the healthcare system. Through every episode, partnership, and platform, Dr. Bayo bridges the gap between healthcare and the everyday person, because an empowered patient is their own best advocate.
