CEO & Founder at Beyond Limits

AJ Abdallat is the CEO and founder of Beyond Limits, a company that specializes in artificial intelligence (AI). AJ has also co-founded and served as the CEO of several startups in the fields of smart sensors & systems, life sciences, environmental monitoring, process control, finance and homeland security.

Abdallat was born in 1968 in Beirut, Lebanon. AJ immigrated to the United States with their family in 1974, settling in Los Angeles. AJ earned a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1988, and a master's degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University in 1993.

After graduation, they worked for several years as an engineer for Hughes Aircraft and TRW. In 1998, they left the corporate world to start their own company. Their first startup was MOBILA, an AI-based company that built platforms to collect business intelligence from subscribers, deliver just-in-time reports for data mining and segmentation, and provide real-time recommendations for most relevant content and advertisement. The company was headquartered in the Los Angeles area, and built upon a cache of intellectual property (IP) developed at NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory and licensed from Caltech, as well as its own internal development efforts.

Abdallat served as MOBILA's CEO from January 2012 to April 2014. In May 2014, they founded Beyond Limits, where they continue to serve as CEO. Under their leadership, Beyond Limits has become a leading provider of AI software and services, with clients including NASA, Boeing, GE Healthcare, Schlumberger, and Toyota.

AJ Abdallat has a BS in Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and an MS in Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
