Beyond Purpose Therapy is a Telehealth-based mental health practice founded by Pam Espin, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and Counsellor. We provide trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming therapy to adults across NSW, QLD, ACT, and VIC, supporting individuals navigating burnout, ADHD, eating distress, and the impacts of unresolved trauma.

With over a decade of experience across hospital, community, and corporate mental health settings, Pam offers an integrative, evidence-based approach grounded in EMDR, Schema Therapy, and somatic interventions. Beyond Purpose Therapy is particularly known for supporting people who are highly capable and responsible on the outside, yet internally experience overwhelm, emotional exhaustion, perfectionism, or disconnection—experiences often misunderstood or missed within traditional mental health systems.

The practice is eating-disorder-informed, trauma-informed, and ADHD-aware, with care prioritising safety, autonomy, collaboration, and nervous system regulation. Referrals are currently accepted via:

Previously an Acting Clinical Leader within a national EAP provider, Pam supported and supervised a team of 21 clinicians and worked with over 300 clients, including senior leaders and executives. She is trusted by GPs, psychiatrists, and allied health professionals for her ethical, thoughtful, and client-centred care.

Pam is also the host of The Burnout Recovery Podcast, advocating for more compassionate, human-centred approaches to burnout and psychological injury at work. Her work has been recognised nationally, including being named a Finalist for AASW Social Worker of the Year (2024) and NSW Health Employee of the Year (2018).
