Derek Ruth

Derek Ruth is a seasoned entrepreneur and executive with extensive experience in venture development and strategic growth across various industries. Currently serving as a Partner at Omtse Ventures and Treehouse Studios, Ruth focuses on building infrastructure for a regenerative future and creating innovative ventures at the intersection of sports, technology, and wellness. As Co-Founder and General Manager at FABRIK, Ruth leads initial venture launches and emphasizes community engagement. Additional roles include Principal at Praxotic Ventures, Angel Investor at Pasadena Angels, Strategic Advisor and Technical Director at Beyondsoft, and Managing Partner at Agos Ventures, where Ruth supports climate technology implementations in the Global South. Previously, Ruth founded and served as CEO of HIVOT, a data communication platform acquired by Stanley Black & Decker, and was involved in early-stage startup incubation at Mach49. Ruth holds educational credentials from Rochester Institute of Technology and Cranbrook Kingswood.
