Stuart McAlpine

Stuart McAlpine has diverse work experience in the field of web development and engineering. Stuart started their career as a Freelance Web Consultant and Full Stack JavaScript/PHP Web Developer at Pressing Space in 2014. In 2019, they became the Lead Wordpress Plugin Maintainer at BeyondWords, where they improved the quality of the plugin and added new features.

Stuart then worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Effection from 2020 to 2021, where they contributed to various projects. Stuart also worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Socially Bright from 2019 to 2021, where they redesigned a backend Java XML API to a JSON REST API using various technologies.

In 2018, Stuart worked as a Web Development Consultant at venturethree, assisting in designing and delivering web applications. Stuart also briefly worked as a Lead Full Stack Web Developer at We Are Alexander and as a Full Stack Engineer at Collective London.

From 2015 to 2017, Stuart served as the Technical Director at Effection, overseeing technical aspects of projects. Stuart also worked as the Interim Technical Director at Wolff Olins in 2016, collaborating with global teams to deliver branding campaigns.

Prior to this, Stuart was a Senior Creative Technologist at The Marketing Store, Europe from 2012 to 2014. In this role, they were responsible for developing digital campaigns, prototyping, and exploring various technologies.

Throughout their career, Stuart has demonstrated expertise in web development, JavaScript, PHP, WordPress, API integration, and AWS services.

Stuart McAlpine began their education journey at the University of Leeds in 2000, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Digital Media. Stuart dedicated three years to this program, completing it in 2003.

After obtaining their undergraduate degree, Stuart enrolled in Leeds Beckett University in 2003. Stuart embarked on a Master of Science (MSc) program in Creative Technology, specializing in this field until 2005.

In addition to their formal education, Stuart McAlpine obtained a certification in G Suite Administrator Fundamentals from Coursera in December 2018. This certification reflects their expertise in managing G Suite tools and platforms.
