Vp, Geospatial And Earth Observation at BeZero

Phil Platts serves as the Director of Geospatial and Earth Observation and Head of GIS at BeZero Carbon since November 2021. Additionally, Phil holds the position of Honorary Fellow and Senior Researcher at the University of York, where involvement began in July 2012. Active in the IUCN Species Survival Commission since January 2016 as a member of the Climate Change Specialist Group, Phil has been a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) since January 2013. Phil’s consultancy experience includes roles at UNEP-WCMC in 2015 and 2017. Prior academic engagement includes serving as a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge from February 2011 to June 2012. Phil Platts earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Science from the University of York.
