Spencer Meyer

Spencer Meyer, PhD, currently serves as Chief Ratings Officer and Vice President of Ratings at BeZero Carbon since September 2023. Spencer has been the Principal at Stony Woods Ventures, LLC since December 2020, focusing on conservation and sustainability strategy consultancy. Previous roles include Head of Science at NCX, where oversight of the scientific alignment of carbon market products was a key responsibility, and Director of Science Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement at Harvard Forest, Harvard University. Spencer's extensive experience in conservation includes positions as Senior Conservationist at Highstead Foundation, Co-Founder of Sebago Clean Waters, and various roles at the University of Maine and The Nature Conservancy. Academic credentials include a PhD in Forest Resources and Sustainability Science, an MS in Forestry, and an A.B. in Environmental Studies.
