John Wasserman

John Wasserman has a diverse work experience in the legal field. John is currently working as the Director of Legal, Senior Corporate Counsel at Bezos Academy. Prior to that, they worked at Prosper Portland as an Assistant General Counsel, representing the organization in various transactional matters primarily involving real estate, finance, and construction. Before joining Prosper Portland, John was the Supervising Attorney for Economic Development at the City of Cincinnati, where they handled a wide range of legal issues related to real estate, finance, construction, and litigation. John also worked as an Associate at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, representing lenders, borrowers, and real estate developers in financial and commercial transactions. John has a strong educational background, having obtained their law degree from The University of Chicago Law School, where they also worked as a Research Assistant. John also gained experience as a judicial extern at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

John Wasserman completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, with a minor in Business, at The Ohio State University from 2006 to 2009. John graduated summa cum laude with honors in the liberal arts. Subsequently, from 2009 to 2012, John attended the University of Chicago Law School, where they earned their Doctor of Law (JD) degree with Honors.
