Jamila Tkitek

Jamila Tkitek has a diverse work experience beginning in 2016. Jamila was an Intern at Tunisiebooking.com in 2016, a Machine Learning Trainee at Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Tunis in 2017, an Engineering Intern at WEVIOO in 2017, a Data Scientist Intern at Athabasca University in 2018, a Junior Software Engineer at BFI GROUP in 2019, a Data Scientist at super.AI in 2020, and is currently a Junior Data Engineer at Bfore.Ai since 2021. At super.AI, Jamila identified research articles to reproduce/apply document classification methodologies, built a Convolutional Neural Network model for document classification task using Keras, trained models on a AWS EC2 Linux instance in the cloud using AWS, deployed the best model using AWS SageMaker, and implemented it end to end into an application. At Athabasca University, Jamila explored a huge amount of raw Moodle log data, extracted and preprocessed the data using Pandas and Scipy, used Matplotlib for visualizations, and identified trends and relationships in students’ learning activity and online behaviour using statistical and data mining techniques.

Jamila Tkitek's education history includes a Master's degree in Cognitive Science & Artificial Intelligence from the Institute of Digital Sciences, Management and Cognition (IDMC) from 2019 to 2020, an Engineer's degree in Computer Science from Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Tunis from 2015 to 2018, a High School Diploma in Mathematics from High school Ibn Arafa, Houmt Souk Djerba from 2009 to 2013, and Maths - Physique from IPEIT - Institut Préparatoire aux Etudes d'Ingénieurs de Tunis. Additionally, Jamila holds certifications in Introduction to Python from DataCamp obtained in October 2019, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA 1) from Cisco obtained in December 2015, and TCF (Test de connaissance du français) from Institut français de Tunisie obtained in March 2019.
