Alvaro Puente

Alvaro Puente is an experienced geological engineer currently employed at BGC Engineering Inc. since June 2016, where responsibilities include drafting proposals for midstream companies to assess geohazards along pipelines and conducting various field inspections. Prior roles include serving as a graduate teaching assistant at the Colorado School of Mines, teaching lab sessions in geology courses, and working as a staff geologist at Geologic Services & Consultants, Inc., where project management assistance and environmental assessment reports were key responsibilities. Earlier experience encompasses teaching assistance in geology and physics at Earlham College and a geology internship at Empresa Petrolera Chaco S.A. Alvaro holds a Master’s Degree in Geological Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology and Physics from Earlham College.
