Heather Brooks, PhD, PE, is a Geotechnical and Arctic Engineer at BGC Engineering Inc. since September 2018. With a solid academic foundation, Heather completed a PhD in Civil Engineering at Université Laval while developing a methodology to assess risks to embankment-supported infrastructure on permafrost. Prior experience includes roles as a Project Engineer at Golder Associates, where structure foundations in Arctic environments were designed, and as a Staff Engineer at Duane Miller Associates LLC, conducting field geotechnical explorations and designing foundations. Heather holds a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman.
