Maureen Matthew

Maureen Matthew is a Senior Engineering Geologist at BGC Engineering, with seventeen years of expertise in applied geoscience, geotechnical engineering, and geohazard assessment. They earned a BSc in Earth Sciences from Dalhousie University in 2005, followed by an MSc in Geological Engineering from Queen's University in 2007. Maureen began their professional career as a Research Fellow at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute and subsequently spent over a decade at Stantec Consulting, where they advanced to the role of Senior Associate and Team Leader. Currently, Maureen is a PhD candidate at Dalhousie University, focusing on coastal geohazards in northeastern Canada, while also serving as a sessional instructor in the Department of Civil and Resource Engineering.
