Pascal Szeftel

Hydrotechnical Engineer

Pascal Szeftel is a seasoned Hydrotechnical Engineer at BGC Engineering since October 2013, with prior experience as a Water Resources Engineer at Klohn Crippen Berger from May 2011 to June 2013. In these roles, Pascal Szeftel has conducted hydroclimatic analyses for permitting and pre-feasibility design related to large mining and hydropower projects, and has performed various hydrological analyses including PMP, PMF, flood frequency, rainfall-runoff modeling, and riprap design. Earlier experience includes a position as a Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of British Columbia, where Pascal Szeftel focused on stochastic model implementation and climate data generation. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Forest Hydrology from The University of British Columbia and a Diplôme d’ingénieur in Water Resources Management from Grenoble INP - UGA.
