Bob Velez

Bob Velez is an experienced professional in institutional equity derivatives and business development, currently serving as an Institutional Equity Derivatives Sales specialist at BGC Group since July 2023. Previously, Bob held the position of Managing Partner at MedHealth Capital, an institutional capital introduction firm focused on early-stage medical startups, from August 2020 to December 2023. Bob has also worked as a Commercial Consultant at AngelMD, Chief Commercial Officer at AlanaAI, and Head of Sales & Business Development at AiX. Additionally, Bob co-founded square X and served as Head of US Equity Derivatives. Earlier roles include positions at SIGMA BROKING LIMITED and BGC Partners, where Bob was the Managing Director overseeing equities in the Americas and Europe. Bob's career began in the USMC Security Force, where Bob served as a US Marine specializing in antiterrorism security. Bob is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1990 to 1994.
