Guanglei Li is a Senior Project Manager at Beijing Genomics Institute in Shenzhen since May 2014, previously serving as a Senior Scientist and leader of the Transporter and Permeability groups at WuXi AppTec from August 2013 to May 2014. Guanglei's expertise includes managing drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics studies, designing in vitro transport studies, and supervising junior scientists. A postdoctoral research scientist at the University of Southern California from 2010 to 2013, Guanglei focused on studying trans-membrane protein Claudin-18's role in pulmonary transport and barrier functions. Academic training includes a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the City University of New York, supplemented by a master's in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University. Early research experience at the City College of New York involved developing in vitro blood-brain barrier models and investigating drug transport mechanisms.
